Research Says...

Have you heard about researches being paid-for by a corporation or a person with the intent to prove that their product is "good for you"?

Listening with half a ear to the TV adds and news, I heard a lot of explanations about the cell phones causing small tumors to proliferate inside the brain of constant users.

This sounds logic and seems proven by scientific means that waves of given concentration end up by modifying the resistance and, maybe, the compositions of brain cells.

This week I heard a new one -- constant use of cell phones might prevent Alzheimer! They were very serous about that and I forget how many participated in the study, who ordered it and who implemented it, but don't you think it was paid by the cell-phone manufacturers?

Science may be manipulated, and it reminds me of a study about the carcinogenic effects of cucumber salads -- it said that in the past 50 years millions of people eat cucumber salads with different frequencies, and at least 50% of them ended up suffering of cancer.

To replace the cucumber from our diet, a marshy tuber was proposed, as having the same watery texture as the cucumbers, but no cases of cancer being reported as yet -- after THREE whole months of experimental use.
